    Paul is returning to the Sunshine Coast with his young family and looks forward to returning to Maple Street. He is interested in all aspects of general practice with particular interest in men’s health and children’s health. He also performs minor procedures, skin cancer work, implanon insertion. Paul is a GP supervisor with GMT and enjoys assisting in the training of GP’s

  • Dr Peter Stobbs

    Maple Street Surgery is excited to announce that Dr Peter Stobbs will be joining our team on 7th February 2022.Dr Stobbs is held in exceptionally high regard by his many loyal patients in the Noosa area and he will be a big asset to the Cooroy community. 

  • Dr Lisha Pollocks

    Dr Lisha Pollocks MBBS / DCH is looking forward to working 5 days a week at Maple Street Surgery and being a part of the vibrant hinterland community. Dr Lisha initially worked in Dubai for 10 years before first moving to Gladstone in 2017 then deciding that the Sunshine Coast was the perfect place to settle her family and to practice as a GP. Continuity of care is very important to Dr Lisha and Cooroy is where she wishes to practice for many years to come and she believes in genuine patient care and giving back to the community. Dr Lisha has completed an additional study (Post Graduate Diploma in Children’s Health)  and is dedicated to servicing the medical needs of patients of all ages. She has a special interest in Children’s Health, Skin Cancer, Women’s Health, Chronic Diseases like Diabetes/Asthma and Heart Disease.

  • Dr. Robyn Amring (currently on maternity leave)

    Dr. Amring has recently moved to the  Sunshine Coast with her family and intends to be a fixture at Maple Street Surgery for many years to come. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a strong dedication to ensuring the health and wellbeing of her patients.
    She has completed advanced training in Obstetrics and
    Gynaecology and will be providing excellent care in women’s
    health, antenatal shared care and associated minor procedures.
    Other special interests include newborn and child health, skin cancer screening and minor skin procedures.
    Dr. Amring will be working three days a week and looks forward to getting to know the community over the coming years.

  • Dr Hannah Newell Kraus

    Hannah is excited to be joining the team at Maple Street Surgery and being a part of the hinterland community.

    After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 2008, Hannah escaped the long cold winter of her native Canada and ventured to Australia on a working holiday which has never ended. She went on to complete her Medical degree from The University of Queensland in 2013 and has been happy to call the Sunshine Coast her home ever since.

    She has a passion for primary care with interests including paediatrics, women’s health and is intrigued by all facets of general medicine.

    She has enthusiasm for maintaining an active, balanced lifestyle and encourages adaptation of preventative health measures with patients of all ages. Her goal is to help all patients achieve their healthiest and happiest life.

  • Dr Tom Phillips

    Dr Phillips is a UK-trained GP who moved to the sunshine coast 2 years ago. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine with a particular interest in the care of the elderly, chronic disease, medical education and all aspects of mental health. He aims to give patients the best possible understanding of their health conditions and involve patients as much as possible in decisions made about their treatment. Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids and exploring the beaches and hinterland of the sunshine coast.

    Dr Phillips works 5 days a week and wants to retire at Maple Street Surgery. That’s a commitment to long term patient care! 

  • Dr Bushra Abbasi

    Bushra has attained her fellowship in the RACGP and enjoys living on the Sunshine Coast and being part of the vibrant team at MSS. She has worked in rural hospitals within Queensland and the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and has a special interest in;

    Mental Health, Antenatal care, Children’s Health. Women’s Heath, Chronic disease management. Minor procedures, Preventative medicine.

  • Dr. Charlotte Byrne Tuesday/Wednesday

    Born and raised in the Cooran district with a passion to provide a high quality and safe professional standard of care to the local community.

    Dr. Byrne enjoys all aspects of General Practice with Special Interests in Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Skin Cancer.

  • Dr Richard Simpson

    Dr Richard Simpson has left Noosa Clinic some time ago and is now enjoying working 4 days a week at Maple Street Surgery in Cooroy.

    Dr Simpson has a wealth of experience in all aspects of general practice with a special interest in men’s health and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He particularly enjoys seeing children and young families.

    Dr Simpson intends to work 4 days a week and is looking forward to being part of Maple St and practicing quality family medicine in a friendly, family orientated clinic for many years to come.

  • Dr. Leon Venter

    Dr Leon Venter has worked throughout Australia in general practice and rural hospitals whose main interest lies in male health.

  • Dedicated Chronic Disease Nurse : Lilly

    Lilly has a background in Chronic Disease Management and will be working closely with our General Practitioners, scheduling patient appointments and performing health assessments, diabetes reviews and asthma action plans.

    Lilly is also the practice’s Coordinated Veterans Care Coordinator and has a passion for looking after our Senior Citizens and Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islanders within our community. She is well known for establishing therapeutic relationships with her patients by going the ‘extra mile’.
